Ryugashido Cave

Ryugashido (ヶ 岩洞 岩洞) is a cave located in Hamamatsu (Shizuoka Prefecture). In summer, the cave has a very pleasant temperature, being a good refuge for the warmer days. Already in the winter, the cave gains a special illumination, where thousands of blue led lights are used. This incredible scenery was inspired by the fireflies that inhabit the caves of New Zealand. It is said that the limestone cave was formed more than 250 million years ago. It has 1046 meters of extension, where about 400 meters are released for the circulation of tourists. One of the biggest attractions is the Ogon underground waterfall at Otaki, 30 meters high.
