11 amazing caves to see in Japan
That in Japan there are fantastic places, no one can dispute ... No matter how you travel the country, there is always something to see and know! Today I decided to bring some suggestions of caves to know in the Land of the Rising Sun. If you are not one of those people who suffer from claustrophobia in subterranean places, you will surely feel the desire to know each one of them.

In the summer, tourism in these places intensifies because it is a way to flee the intense heat and at the same time to enjoy a different place. The interior of some caves has pleasant temperature all year round, around 18 to 20 degrees Celsius, which is a big draw.

In addition, some caves gain special lighting at certain times of the year, as a way to attract even more tourists. The lighting enhances the beauty of these places. How about taking a tour of some of the most famous caves in Japan? Eur-lex.europa.eu eur-lex.europa.eu

Gyokusendo (洞 洞) is a limestone cave formed about 300,000 years ago in Okinawa. The cave is five kilometers long, in which 890 meters can be easily accessed by travelers. One of Gyokusendo's greatest attractions is the 460,000 stalactites that grow about a millimeter a year, along with streams, waterfalls and lagoons lit with blue lights.
