Japan's Meteorological Agency announced the forecast of flowering cherry trees (sakura) of someiyoshino type in the 48 points of the archipelago. The flowering of this year can happen at the same time the previous year if start a gradual warming in March.
The pink darker shades indicate that the bloom starts before, in southern Japan, on March 20 starting at the provinces of Kochi and as the tone will be clearing sakura blossoms will open to the north . Until it arrives in Hokkaido there is a difference of one month and a half, should bloom in early May.

27 / March: Osaka
25 / March: Nagoya
26 / March: Tokyo
12 / April: Sendai

Curiosity about sakura blossoms
For the flowering of cherry, the temperature is a factor that affects since the fall of flowers last year, to the flowering date this year, as the late autumn cold. Last year in November, the temperature was raised across the country, but in December the cold was intense. The first half of February will have temperature below the average. But in March is expected temperature within the average. For this reason the cherry flowering dates would be considered in the average time. Already in northern Japan the lowest temperature until April can not interfere with the average time of flowering.
